Data ownership & export
Your footage is your record. The platform is built so it stays yours, and so you can take it out whenever you need to.
In the Untamed Data Platform, the footage your cameras produce and the detections the AI adds remain yours. We store and process them by default on European servers, with GDPR in mind from the start — but ownership does not change hands by using the platform.
Export, anytime
You can pull your data out whenever you like:
- CSV — filtered detections (species, camera, date, location, confidence) for your own analysis pipeline or a spreadsheet.
- PDF — clean report packs for funders, partners, and stakeholders, straight from the filtered view.
- Camtrap DP — a standards package (deployments, media, observations) in the camera-trap field's open exchange format, so your dataset stays readable outside our app. It's the data, not the image files.
- Your media — the original photos and videos stay downloadable.
No lock-in
Because you can export the full record, you are never trapped — and the copy you export is yours to keep on your own systems, independent of anything we store or how long we store it. For organizations that must keep everything on infrastructure they control, the platform also runs self-hosted, entirely inside your own environment.
