Monitoring data is only as useful as your ability to move it: into your own analysis, into reports, into the wider biodiversity record. Untamed Data is built on open, camera-agnostic foundations, and it's heading toward the exchange standards the field is settling on.

Full ownership
You own your footage and detections and can export everything at any time, as a complete download. No offboarding wall.
Provenance & metadata
Every detection is stamped with the model and version that produced it, and capture time and GPS travel with the data (read from EXIF and the file name) — so results stay auditable and reproducible. Chain of custody & data provenance →

Footage and recognition run on European infrastructure; GDPR-ready by default.
Where we're heading
The exchange standards the field uses
The camera-trap and biodiversity community has converged on open standards for sharing data. We export Camtrap DP today. Publishing on to Darwin Core and GBIF, and direct connectors into other tools, are the direction, and we'll say so clearly when each one ships.
Darwin Core & GBIF
Camtrap DP is designed to map onto Darwin Core, the biodiversity-data standard behind GBIF. Turning our export into a GBIF publication is a direction we're building toward, not available yet.
FAIR data
An open, self-describing package with location, effort, and provenance is a real step toward FAIR data: findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable.
Conservation platforms
Because we export Camtrap DP, tools that read it (Agouti, TRAPPER, Wildlife Insights) can in principle ingest the data. We haven't tested a direct import into any of them yet, so we don't claim a live integration.
Reporting workflows
Structured export aimed at national and EU reporting, including Natura 2000 (Habitats Directive, Article 17) and the Nature Restoration Regulation. See camera traps for Natura 2000 monitoring.

Principles
Portable by default
Open beats proprietary; portable beats locked-in; and the data is yours, not ours to hold hostage. Interoperability is not a feature we bolt on at the end — it is why the platform reads standard cameras, exports plain formats, stamps provenance, and runs where you can host it yourself.
