The worst camera problem is the silent one: a dead battery or a knocked lens you only discover on your next visit, weeks of data already gone.
A camera does not usually announce that it has stopped. It just goes quiet, and if nobody is watching, that gap in the record is only found on the next field trip. Keeping an eye on camera status is what turns that from a lost season into a same-week fix.
What you can see
- Status & last activity — which cameras are active, and when each last sent something in.
- Media counts — how much each camera has uploaded, so an unusually quiet station stands out.
- Per-camera view — drill into one camera to check its recent captures and settings.
Reading the signals
A camera that suddenly falls silent usually means a flat battery, a full card, a lost signal, or a knocked or blocked lens. Catching it early — from the dashboard, not from the field — means one targeted visit instead of a wasted grid.
