Connectivity

Your FTPS cameras upload over whatever internet is on site — mobile, fixed, or a satellite link like Starlink. So a forest, a mountain valley, or a reserve with no 4G still gets footage into the platform. We don't provide the connection; we make sure that once it's there, everything after the upload is handled for you.

  • Any connection — mobile, fixed line, or satellite (Starlink). Untamed Data only needs the images to arrive.
  • Truly off-grid needs power: a satellite dish draws roughly 50–75 W, so pair it with solar or a battery at a base location that nearby cameras upload through — not on every single camera.
  • No lock-in: you choose the cameras and the connection; we handle recognition, review, maps, and export.

A Dutch company, working with people in the field

Untamed Data B.V. is based in the Netherlands, bringing a data-driven approach to nature management and policy. We work with researchers, land managers, conservation organizations, and technical partners who run camera-trap monitoring — not as a consumer gadget brand, but as software for programs that need durable records. The work is quiet on purpose: passive cameras, careful data, and decisions that are better for the wildlife they concern.
